20 Years of Suds and Sound: LA Beer Fest's Anniversary Edition Takes Over Los Angeles Center Studios

The city's largest craft beer festival returns with 80+ breweries, 200 beers, live music, and LA's finest food trucks — raising a glass to two decades of hoppy history

LOS ANGELES, CA — April 4, 2026

Twenty years. Two hundred beers. One unforgettable Saturday.

The 2026 LA Beer Fest — celebrating its landmark 20th anniversary — transformed the grounds of Los Angeles Center Studios into the city's most spirited outdoor party of the spring season on Saturday, April 4, drawing thousands of craft beer lovers, live music fans, and food truck devotees to one of Downtown LA's most versatile and visually striking event spaces.

Presented by Drink Eat Play, LA's largest craft beer festival delivered on every front: cold pints, hot bites, loud bands, and two full sessions of wall-to-wall fun that lasted from noon straight through to 8 p.m.

A Two-Decade Milestone

When the LA Beer Fest first poured its inaugural glass back in 2006, the American craft beer scene was still finding its footing. Today, it is a booming industry defined by creativity, community, and an almost endless appetite for experimentation — and the LA Beer Fest has grown right alongside it.

The 20th anniversary edition is the biggest yet. Over 80 breweries from across California and beyond set up taps across the Los Angeles Center Studios campus at 450 S. Bixel Street, offering more than 200 distinct beers for attendees to discover, compare, and debate. From bold IPAs and hazy pale ales to rich stouts, tart sours, and limited-edition one-offs that exist nowhere else on earth, the pour list represented the full, glorious breadth of what modern American craft brewing has to offer.

Two Sessions, Zero Dull Moments

The festival ran in two sessions — noon to 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. — giving attendees the rare gift of choosing their ideal beer-drinking window. General Admission tickets at $67 included unlimited beer tastings across all participating breweries, with LA's best food trucks stationed throughout the grounds for separate purchase.

For those looking to elevate the experience, the Connoisseur's Ticket ($90) offered a VIP upgrade worth every penny: access to an exclusive indoor/outdoor event deck overlooking the festival floor, air-conditioned facilities, two street tacos, commemorative glassware, and — most coveted of all — pours of limited beers and rare one-offs unavailable to the general crowd. Quantities were strictly limited, and they sold out fast.

Live Music, Cover Bands, and a DJ Truck

A craft beer festival is only as good as its soundtrack, and the 2026 LA Beer Fest delivered on that front with equal enthusiasm. Live cover bands played throughout both sessions, filling the air with crowd-pleasing sets that kept energy levels high between sips. A DJ truck added another sonic dimension to the proceedings, turning certain corners of the venue into impromptu dance zones as the afternoon wore on.

The combination of live music, open-air setting, and a rotating cast of brilliant food trucks gave the event a full festival atmosphere that went well beyond a simple tasting event — this was an all-day party, with beer as the connective thread.

The Venue: Where Hollywood Meets Craft Culture

Los Angeles Center Studios — a working production facility that has served as the backdrop for countless films and television shows — provided a uniquely cinematic setting for the festivities. Its open-air plazas, industrial architecture, and Downtown LA skyline backdrop gave the 20th anniversary edition a sense of scale and occasion befitting two decades of celebration.

For a festival that has always prided itself on reflecting the spirit of the city it calls home, the venue choice felt exactly right: creative, adaptable, distinctly Los Angeles.

Cheers to Twenty More

Twenty years on, the LA Beer Fest remains exactly what it was always meant to be — a celebration of great beer, great food, great music, and the kind of easy, sun-soaked Saturday that only Southern California can produce.

Here's to the next twenty.
